Best Amazon wholesale sourcing tools in 2026

Wholesale sourcing is three separate jobs: finding brands, scanning a price list you already hold, and validating one product, each with different tools.

Last reviewed 6 min readSupplyForge LLC

The best Amazon wholesale sourcing tools split by job: Helium 10 and Jungle Scout for finding brands, ScanUnlimited and Price Checker 2 for scanning a list, SellerAmp for one product.

One overall ranking of sourcing tools is worthless, because the products in it are not doing the same job. A brand-finder cannot process a distributor spreadsheet, and a spreadsheet scanner has no opinion about which brands are worth an application. Find which of the three is your bottleneck, then rank inside that job. Every price here was read from the vendor's own pages on 2026-08-03.

Three jobs that all get called sourcing

Three distinct jobs travel under the word sourcing, and buying for the wrong one is a common software mistake in Amazon wholesale. The jobs differ on what the tool must ingest, which is the fastest way to tell them apart.

Find brandsWhich brands are worth an account applicationAmazon marketplace data across categoriesA research subscription renewing monthly with no new applications sent
Scan a list you holdWhich of these 12,000 rows clear a margin floorA supplier price list keyed on UPC, EAN or MPNPrice lists piling up unscanned because a per-ASIN analyzer needs one lookup per row

The market is lopsided: job one is served by large, mature products, job two by a handful of specialists, and job three cheaply.

Job one: finding brands worth an account application

Helium 10 and Jungle Scout lead job one, because both start from Amazon marketplace data rather than from a supplier list. Helium 10's Black Box and Xray work outward from the marketplace, and the surrounding suite carries the deepest keyword dataset in the category; plans run Platinum $129 a month, Diamond $359 a month, and Enterprise from $1,499 a month billed annually.

Jungle Scout Catalyst ranks second on price and first on estimate credibility — its sales estimation is the most widely benchmarked in the category, and Starter is $348 a year, capped at one user. Keepa ranks third and does what neither of the others will: Keepa needs no Amazon seller account, so a brand's catalog can be examined before you hold an approval. Keepa's pricing could not be verified — every Keepa URL checked on 2026-08-03 returned HTTP 403 to fetchers.

Forge Command sits fourth and is not a discovery dataset. Forge Command ranks candidates from data the tools above produce, applying fixed floors — 10% net ROI after Amazon fees, $1,000 a month of ASIN revenue, and three ASINs on a brand clearing 10% ROI before an account is worth opening. The scoring framework is in how to evaluate an Amazon wholesale opportunity.

Job two: scanning a price list you already hold

For a price list you already hold, rank by catalog size and budget, because these tools converge on capability and diverge sharply on cost. A seller with one supplier and a 6,000-row sheet should not pay $148 a month, and eight suppliers reissuing monthly will not fit a one-file free tier.

ToolPublished priceBest when
ScanUnlimited$0 Limited plan, 1 file a month, 10,000 products per fileOne supplier, occasional scans, no budget
Seller Assistant (sellerassistant.app)Pro $29.99 a month, 2 seats, 10,000 lookups a monthSupplier profiles and purchase orders in the same product
Analyzer.ToolsWeb app $49 a month, Pro $69 a month, read from the checkout widget because the pricing table renders client-sideVery large files and case-pack catalogs
Price Checker 2$148 a month, single tier, no annual discountTen Amazon marketplaces on one subscription, Windows desktop only
SourceMogul£79.99 a month, or £58.33 a month billed annuallyUK retailer coverage alongside wholesale list upload
Forge CommandNot publicly listedRecurring catalogs whose matched rows must stay attached to a supplier record

Throughput claims are the least useful axis there. The spreadsheet defects that decide a scan, and the identifier coverage that caps match rate, are in the best tools for scanning wholesale price lists.

Job three: validating a single product before you buy

SellerAmp SAS leads job three, which is the cheapest of the three to solve properly. SellerAmp publishes Getting Started at $19.95 a month, Getting Serious at $29.95 a month, and Going Pro at $49.95 a month, with annual billing giving two months free. One subscription covers the Chrome extension, web app and mobile apps with shared history, and eligibility plus IP-claim alerts surface inline at the moment of the decision. Going Pro, launched 2026-02-25, is the most VA-aware product in this set, with unlimited users and unlimited settings profiles.

AZInsight ranks second on price: $7.95 a month or $59.95 a year for Starter with two free sub-accounts, and $19.95 a month for the full feature set, covering Amazon and Walmart on one subscription with a 30-day trial that needs no card. Neither tool processes a bulk supplier file, and checking Amazon selling restrictions before you buy explains why a catalog-scale check answers a different question.

The dead-ASIN population job-one tools filter out

Dead ASINs are the one sourcing population that job-one tools remove by default, and removing them is defensible for private label and wrong for wholesale. A discovery tool ranks by current demand, so a listing that sold hard for two years and stopped six months ago scores near zero and never reaches a shortlist. The listing equity survives the stockout: reviews, listing age and rank history are still there.

Forge Command surfaces the population as one of its four opportunity types, with a numeric definition — at least 200 units in the last year and under 5 a month now — alongside opening a new account, buying a new SKU from an approved account, and reordering. The logic is that supply stopped rather than demand, so restocking a listing that already ranks beats building demand for one that does not. Screening criteria are in how to find and revive dead Amazon ASINs.

Where these tools beat Forge Command

Forge Command loses job one and job three outright and parts of job two, which is worth stating before anyone builds a stack around it. Forge Command produces no sales estimates, no keyword data and no product discovery, so Helium 10, Jungle Scout or Keepa stays on the bill, and a seller making one-ASIN calls all day should buy SellerAmp.

On job two the dedicated scanners win on price transparency and time to first result. ScanUnlimited is free for one 10,000-row file a month; Forge Command publishes no pricing and needs your own Amazon SP-API credentials before a scan returns anything. Forge Command is a young product from a small operator with no SOC 2, no formal SLA and no 24/7 support desk. What Forge Command adds is persistence: matched rows stay attached to a supplier organization, feed purchase orders and landed cost, and survive a reissued price list. Finding that supplier is covered in how to find wholesale suppliers for Amazon FBA.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to start sourcing wholesale products

Two near-free tools cover two of the three jobs: ScanUnlimited's $0 Limited plan scans one 10,000-row supplier file a month, and AZInsight starts at $7.95 a month. Brand-finding has no cheap equivalent.

Do I need a research subscription if I already have supplier price lists

Yes, for demand data. A scanner tells you the margin on rows you hold, not whether the ASIN sells 400 units a month or four. Helium 10 and Jungle Scout supply that estimate; Forge Command consumes it.

Which sourcing tool checks whether I can sell the product

SellerAmp surfaces eligibility and IP-claim alerts inline per product, Seller Assistant (sellerassistant.app) ships a Bulk Restriction Checker capped at 4,000 ASIN checks a month on its $29.99 Pro plan, and Forge Command derives four sellability states per catalog row from SP-API restriction fields.

How much does Forge Command cost

Forge Command's pricing is not publicly listed and self-serve billing is not yet available — contact SupplyForge, which operates the product. Budget separately for your own Amazon SP-API and Keepa credentials, since each tenant runs on its own keys.
